I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The dye has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I am a disciple of His. I wont look back, let up, slow down, back away or be still.
My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I am finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, lamed visions, mudane talking, cheap living, and dwarfed goals.
I no longer need prosperity, position, promotions, or popularity. I don't have to be right, first, praised, recognized, regarded or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer, and live by power.
My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way is tough, my companions few, my guide reliable, my mission clear. I can not be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the face of adversary, negotiate at the table of an enemy, or ponder at the pool of popularity.
I wont give up, shut up, let up, until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, and preached up for the cause of Christ. I am a disciple of Jesus. I must keep on going until He comes, give till I drop, preach till all know, and work till He stops me. And when He comes for His own, He will have no problems recognizing me. My banner will be made clear, I am written in the Lambs book of life.
Somebody killed a Policeman today and a part of America died. A piece of our country he swore to protect, will be buried with him at his side.
The suspect who shot him will stand up in court, with counsel demanding his rights, and a young widowed mother must work for her kids, and spend many long lonely nights.
The beat he walked on was a battlefield too, just as if he'd gone off to war. Though the flag of our Nation won't fly at half mast, to his name they will add a gold star.
Yes somebody killed a policeman today, it happened in your town and mine. While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors, a cop put his life on the line.
